On 11 February 2026, the University of Prishtina, through its Division for Academic Development, Quality, Monitoring, and Career Development, organized an information session on the Young Cell Scheme (YCS) Master’s Scholarships – Round XVI. The session was held at the Career Development Center, located on the first floor of the National Library of Kosovo “Pjetër Bogdani” in Prishtina.

The session provided an important opportunity for students and graduates of the University of Prishtina to gain first-hand information about the application process, selection criteria, and the benefits offered by the Young Cell Scheme program.

The event opened with welcoming remarks and an overview of the objectives of the session, followed by general information about the Young Cell Scheme. The main presentation was delivered by Prof. Nikolaus Panagiotou, Young Cell Scheme (YCS) Program Expert in Kosovo, who presented Round XVI of the program in detail.

“The strong engagement of students and graduates, as well as the high level of interest shown in the application process and career development, demonstrates the significant academic and professional potential of this university. The Young Cell Scheme remains a key instrument for developing new capacities and strengthening Kosovo’s public administration, while building sustainable bridges of cooperation with universities across the European Union,” emphasized Prof. Panagiotou.

During the session, the following topics were addressed:

  • opportunities for pursuing Master’s studies at universities in European Union member states;
  • fields of study and partner universities;
  • the application process, required documentation, and selection criteria;
  • scholarship benefits and financial support;
  • the pathway from application to employment after returning to Kosovo.

The session concluded with an open discussion and a Questions and Answers segment, during which participants were able to raise specific questions related to the application process and professional engagement after completing their studies.

Additional information and practical guidance on the application process were also provided by representatives of YCS Kosovo in Prishtina, Ms. Violeta Ademi, YCS Kosovo Program Manager, and Ms. Arjeta Galimuna, YCS Kosovo Program Officer. They elaborated on key aspects of application preparation and the different stages of the selection process.

The audience was also addressed by Ms. Andrra Nurkollari, EYCA Kosovo Board Member and alumna of the Young Cell Scheme, who shared her experience of studying in the European Union and the professional benefits following her return and engagement in Kosovo’s institutions.

“My participation in the Young Cell Scheme has been a formative experience, both academically and professionally. Completing a Master’s degree at a European Union university enabled me to develop advanced competencies, gain an international perspective, and prepare for professional challenges upon returning to Kosovo. This program not only invests in quality education but also creates real opportunities for professional engagement and direct contribution to public institutions in the country,” highlighted Ms. Nurkollari.

Participating students evaluated the information session as a useful and well-oriented activity. Enxhi Avdyli, a student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina, emphasized that the session helped clarify the application process and expectations associated with the program.

“The Young Cell Scheme information session was very informative and clear. The presented information helped me better understand the application process, selection criteria, and the opportunities this program offers for academic and professional development. This activity served as valuable guidance for students who aim to invest in their future through Master’s studies in European Union countries,” stated Avdyli.
