Representatives from the Italian Embassy, together with the leadership of the University of Prishtina (UP), presented Italian scholarships and study opportunities to students in the Senate Hall.
The event was led by Raffaela Ritucci, Lecturer of Italian at the UP Faculty of Philology’s Language Center and Official in charge of extra-academic duties at the Italian Embassy in Kosovo. Representatives from Uni-Italia, a non-governmental organization that promotes Italian higher education abroad, used a slideshow to outline the benefits of studying at Italian universities.
The presentation highlighted that Italy offers high-quality higher education, often at lower costs compared to other European countries. Reference was made to the University of Bologna, which has a teaching tradition of nearly 1,000 years and is considered the oldest university in Europe and the Western world.
UP students were encouraged to find all relevant information about studying in Italy on the website: https://uni-italia.it/. They asked questions and received answers on various topics, including language certificates, student visas, medical programs, and how theoretical study is combined with clinical practice.
Also participating in the discussion were the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Rozafa Basha; the Head of the UP’s International Relations Office, Prof. Lumnije Bajrami; and officials Afërdita Rexhepi and Saranda Krasniqi.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers annual study scholarships for foreign students, which are also available to students from the University of Prishtina.
