A delegation from "Ahi Evran" University in Kırşehir, Turkey, visited the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina to discuss potential cooperation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strongest link between the two higher education institutions could be built through professors from both universities who, through their communication, can identify shared interests.

It was agreed to cooperate through mobility programs within European initiatives, including student and staff exchanges, as well as joint projects. Both parties also agreed to identify areas where they can work together in the future, with the aim of signing a memorandum of cooperation. It was noted that such an agreement should be meaningful and active, rather than just a written document.

Professor Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Rector of "Ahi Evran" University in Kırşehir, explained that his university has 20,000 students, 1,000 faculty members, and 10 faculties. He also highlighted that it is one of the few universities worldwide to evaluate students entirely through electronic systems. He mentioned other unique features of his institution, including a focus on improving quality in higher education, as well as interests in the latest technology, health tourism, and the construction of agricultural greenhouses.

Professor Arben Hajrullahu, Rector of the University of Prishtina, provided an overview of the university's history, emphasizing that UP is the largest, oldest, and highest-ranked university among all Albanian-language universities in the Western Balkans and worldwide.

In addition to the Rector, the delegation from "Ahi Evran" University included the Erasmus coordinator and international relations officer, Professor Mahmut Sarı, and the educational counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Prishtina, Mr. Veysel Erdel. They were accompanied by the Vice Dean for Teaching and Quality at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina, Professor Isa Sulçevsi.
