At its session on April 1, 2026, the University Senate approved the regulations governing bachelor’s and doctoral-level studies and announced a call for applications to its accredited doctoral programs.

The Senate also established rules for first-time appointments and transfers between academic units within the university, aiming to foster greater collaboration across faculties.

Reappointments of academic staff in the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Education were confirmed. In addition, a call was issued for external collaborators to teach subjects not covered by the open academic staff competition.

Discussion also addressed instructor shortages in several key subjects, as well as needed appointments and promotions within the Faculty of Medicine. It was confirmed that clinical professors in this faculty must maintain an affiliation with the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.

Senators agreed to request a full report concerning a professor accused of failing to meet contractual obligations and other potential ethical breaches before taking any further action on the case.

A complaint regarding a decision by the Ethics Council was reviewed and, following debate, was dismissed. Finally, the Senate approved the appointment of professional editors for two textbooks in the fields of medicine and architecture, following recommendations from the University Publishing Council.
