At its meeting on March 4, 2026, the Senate unanimously approved the affiliation of three new professors with the University of Prishtina: Professor Miranda Kajtazi from Lund University, Professor Isa Blumi from Stockholm University, and Professor Venet Osmani from Queen Mary University of London.

These three renowned professors, recognized for their international experience and accomplishments, will join five of their colleagues from the academic diaspora who are already working with UP. Their appointments are made under the Regulation on Transfer, the "Brain Gain" Program, and Special Cases of Academic Staff Recruitments.

The Senate also approved the majority of proposals for the appointment, reappointment, and promotion of academic staff in the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Economics. A commission was formed to draft the Regulation on SEMS.

Furthermore, the senators revoked the decisions to reappoint two professors to the positions of assistant professor and associate professor. It was decided that faculty councils will bring forward proposals for hiring adjunct lecturers and assistants to the Senate, after which public calls for these positions will be announced.

Finally, the Senate approved the Guidelines on the use of generative artificial intelligence by UP students and ratified several doctoral topics submitted by the Central Council for Doctoral Studies.
