In 2025, the academic staff of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina published 8 scientific papers and took part in 8 conferences, with €17,000 in financial support from the University of Prishtina.

Throughout the year, the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering worked to stay up to date with rapid technological change through diverse activities, modern teaching, the advancement of scientific research, and international engagement.

The faculty’s academic staff published eight scientific papers in 2025, all appearing in Web of Science-indexed journals under the SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI categories. These publications received €9,600 in support from the University of Prishtina.

Faculty professors also participated in or organized eight scientific conferences (one international and seven regional) for which the university provided €7,400.

The faculty places strong emphasis on student involvement, inclusion, and skills training, especially in information technology, so that graduates are equipped with broad, current knowledge in this fast-changing field.

On International Girls in ICT Day, the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering hosted the “Shecurity Conference and Hackathon 2025” to promote gender equality and encourage more girls and women to engage with future technologies.

This year the faculty also organized the tenth edition of the leading regional conference on free and open-source software and hardware, “Software Freedom Kosova 2025.”

A former student of the faculty, Dredhza Braina, received the “Cybersecurity Woman of the Year 2025” award in the “Barrier Breaker” category.
