At an extraordinary press conference addressing the KEDS depot on UP property, which is obstructing the removal of the high-voltage pylon near the new building of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and the facility's operationalization, Rector Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu stated that this faculty seriously risks not being accredited and being closed due to a lack of teaching space.

Rector Hajrullahu emphasized that the situation is very serious and that there is not a single hour left to lose. "We cannot hold classes in the fields; we need a home. The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine has no home," said Rector Hajrullahu.

The head of the University of Prishtina stated that UP has the support of all public institutions for relocating the high-voltage pylon from the vicinity of the FAVM building. However, he indicated that KEDS has not taken any steps to relocate the depot, even though the university has officially requested this since the beginning of July 2025.

Using images obtained from the GeoPortal, an online property platform of the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, the rector showed that the depot, which is threatening the closure of an important UP faculty, did not exist prior to October 2020.

He warned of further actions until the full liberation of UP's properties and called upon all law enforcement and rule-of-law bodies to deal seriously with all usurpers of spaces under the utilization of the University of Prishtina.

Also present with the rector at the press conference were the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Arben Musliu, Vice-Dean Fatgzim Latifi, and a professor from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. Përparim Ameti.

Regarding the obstacles KEDS is causing to the operationalization of FAVM, the University of Prishtina issued a detailed clarification on Tuesday.
