"Kosova Anthropologica," a journal published by the Department of Anthropology within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Prishtina, has been accepted into the global "Open Journals Collective" (OJC) initiative.

The Editor-in-Chief of "Kosova Anthropologica," Professor Arsim Canolli, assessed the journal's acceptance into the OJC as an excellent opportunity for support and the continuation of international cooperation.

"We are grateful to join this new network of diamond open access academic journals, which is also our journal's model. 'Kosova Anthropologica' will benefit from the support provided by this initiative," stated Professor Canolli.

As a publishing member of the OJC network, the journal of the Department of Anthropology can receive financial assistance for its publishing activities, which will adhere to the transparent and ethical standards of the "Open Journals Collective."

The OJC is an international, non-profit initiative that supports community-led, scholar-governed journals. These journals are committed to publishing high-quality scientific research that is free for readers and has no fees for authors.

In November, the University of Prishtina also joined the prominent European network EDCH/DIAMAS through the "Kosova Anthropologica" journal. This network aims to strengthen open academic research that is free of charge for both authors and readers.

This journal was also accepted into the renowned global database, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), in January 2025. Furthermore, in October 2025, the name of the state of Kosovo was listed alongside the journal's name in this database.

Membership in these global organizations will assist "Kosova Anthropologica" and the University of Prishtina in their internationalization, networking, partnership building, and the advancement of anthropological scientific research in Kosovo.
