Professors from Linnaeus University, the University of Oulu, and NTNU of Sweden, Finland, and Norway came to the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina (UP) to explore opportunities for expanding their cooperation.

Professors Jari Laru from the University of Oulu; Deepti Mishra, Ali Shariq Imran, and Akshara Pande from NTNU; and Fisnik Dalipi from Linnaeus University, accompanied by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Kyvete Shatri, and a professor from the same faculty, Krenare Pireva-Nuçi—who is also the coordinator of the TKAEDITE project—were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Professor Rozafa Basha.

Vice-Rector Basha stated that the University of Prishtina is interested in cooperating with Scandinavian universities in the field of digital transformation and continually aims to increase its participation in international projects.

The meeting also discussed the potential signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for areas of mutual interest and for partnership concerning artificial intelligence tools, training for their use, and the creation of a legal framework to regulate this usage.

Joint double-degree study programs, student and professor exchanges through the Erasmus program, and cooperation within the framework of the Prishtina International Summer University were also mentioned.

The Faculty of Education already cooperates with these universities. In addition to this faculty, Sweden's Linnaeus University also has joint projects with the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences.

The esteemed professors are staying in Kosovo as part of the project “Transforming the Kosovo and Albanian Education System by Introducing Digital Technology in Teacher Education" (TKAEDITE), which aims to support students and educators in Kosovo and Albania in the process of digital transformation throughout the entire education system. The project is co-financed by the EU and the Erasmus+ program and is coordinated by the Faculty of Education at the University of Prishtina.
