Professor Avni Berisha from the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences has been ranked among the world's top 2% most cited scientists in the list published by Stanford University on September 19, 2025.

By joining this group of scientists, Professor Berisha has strengthened international recognition within elite scientific circles, alongside the University of Prishtina and the faculty where he teaches and conducts research.

The Stanford University ranking, developed in collaboration with Elsevier and considered the most prestigious in the world, compiles data for over 100,000 of the globe's top scientists from the "Scopus" platform. It evaluates the impact of their work based on both lifetime and single-year citations across 22 fields and 174 scientific subfields.

This is the second consecutive year Professor Avni Berisha has been included in the world's top 2% of most cited scientists.
