During the 18th meeting of the Senate of the University of Prishtina (UP), held on July 18, 2025, several critical regulations were approved, including the engagement of external academic staff and visiting professors for the 2025/26 academic year. 

With four votes against, senators approved the Regulation on Student Assessment and Examination Deadlines. This regulation, along with others recently adopted, aligns with the UP Statute ratified in July 2024. 

Additionally, the Regulations and Guidelines for UP Publications and the Regulation on the Decision-Making Process and Procedure for Selecting Honorary Title Recipients, Awards for Outstanding Students, and Recognitions were approved. 

The Senate reviewed reports on internal academic staff commitments and endorsed proposals for engaging external academic staff, including visiting professors, for the 2025/26 academic year. It also approved the mandates of new senators elected from the Student Parliament. 

Whereas, by a majority of votes, the review and approval of the decision of the Ethics Council dated July 14, 2025, were suspended.

Finally, materials submitted to the Senate after review and approval by the Central Council of Doctoral Studies were unanimously adopted without opposing votes or abstentions.
