The Council of the Center for Excellence in Teaching (QPM) held its first official meeting at the University of Prishtina. During the meeting, the members discussed aligning the QPM Regulations with the rules governing the principles of work and operation of institutes and centers at the university. They also talked about plans for the future of this important center.
According to the regulation, the QPM Council is made up of three members from the university's academic staff: Professor Blerim Saqipi from the Faculty of Education, Professor Seniha Krasniqi from the Faculty of Philology, and Professor Avdulla Alija from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. There are also two external members: Mr. Shkëlzen Gërxhaliu from the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, and Mr. Selim Mehmeti, a researcher at the Kosovo Pedagogical Institute.
At this meeting, Professor Blerim Saqipi, Dean of the Faculty of Education, was elected as the Chair of the Council. Professor Blerta Mustafa will continue to serve as the Coordinator of the QPM.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that the main goal of the QPM for the coming period is to strengthen the role of this already established center. This is part of the university’s broader goal of achieving excellence in teaching. The QPM will keep supporting ongoing professional development for academic staff, both inside and outside the university. It will also expand training programs to improve digital teaching skills and follow current trends in higher education and teaching innovations.
