The University of Prishtina signed a cooperation agreement today with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, which allows for the use of university expertise and resources to carry out activities of mutual interest.

The agreement covers areas related to the responsibilities of the ministry and the scientific expertise of the University of Prishtina.

University staff will contribute to improving the ministry’s legislation, monitoring projects and professional activities, and participating in commissions, working groups, or other mechanisms. Students will be involved in professional and research activities as well.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Arben Hajrullahu, and the acting Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ms. Fitore Pacolli-Dalipi.

The idea for this cooperation was agreed upon during a meeting on March 4, 2026, between Rector Hajrullahu and Minister Pacolli-Dalipi. Back then, the minister promised that properties from UP would be a priority for the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.

Regarding UP’s properties and other issues, university leaders met in April with representatives of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. The university has also reached cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Justice and the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, as part of efforts to work together for the public good.
