Today, a regular meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Center Council (AIUP) was held at the University of Prishtina Rectorate, where Professor Kadri Sylejmani was elected as the center’s director.
The meeting was attended by university representatives, public officials, and industry members, including Minister Lulëzon Jagxhiu, who also serves as Council Chair, Vice-Rectors Avni Hajdari and Albana Berisha-Qehaja, along with council members Hëna Maloku and Agon Kabashi.
Participants discussed ways to speed up digitalization in government institutions and integrate artificial intelligence into public services. They also looked at how University of Prishtina staff can contribute directly to these efforts.
The Artificial Intelligence Center (AIUP), founded this March, aims to connect scientific research with real-world AI applications, build professional skills, and strengthen collaboration with local and international partners.
One of its key goals is to develop policies for the responsible use of artificial intelligence, focusing on ethics, privacy, and economic impact.
