The University of Prishtina has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Justice today to work together on activities that will benefit public institutions.

Under the agreement, UP will offer its academic and professional expertise in fields related to the work of the Ministry of Justice. UP’s academic staff will also take part in studies, analysis, proposals, drafting technical documents, and professional programs.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Arben Hajrullahu, and the Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz.

Rector Hajrullahu said that Kosovo cannot move forward in meaningful ways without UP, while Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz expressed confidence that future decisions and draft laws from the ministry will be better thanks to greater involvement of professionals from the University of Prishtina.

Also attending the meeting and signing ceremony were the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Prof. Rozafa Basha, and the General Secretary of UP, Safet Thaçi.

Earlier this year, UP’s leadership also met with the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Fitore Pacolli-Dalipi, and officials from public enterprises, with the goal of strengthening cooperation for the common good.
