Professor Violeta Nushi, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Prishtina, has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit by President Vjosa Osmani.

The award ceremony, which honored Dean Nushi and other distinguished figures with one of the state's highest recognitions, was held on March 30, 2026.

Dean Nushi received the Presidential Medal of Merit “for her outstanding, long-term contribution to the development of higher education, scientific research, and the architectural profession in Kosovo.”

Professor Violeta Nushi, who is currently serving her second term as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, is also the first woman in Kosovo to earn a Doctor of Science degree in Architecture and Urbanism. She has a distinguished 37-year career.
