On February 26, 2026, the shendetimendor.org platform was officially launched. This initiative was developed by the Institute of Psychology at the University of Prishtina in cooperation with the Center for Global Health to provide better access to evidence-based mental health information and support in Kosovo.
The event opened with remarks from Prof. Aliriza Arënliu, who spoke about the Institute’s role and the value of academic and student engagement in promoting mental well-being.
Prof. Arënliu, Director of the Institute, further explained the platform's purpose, emphasizing the existing gaps in mental health services and its potential as a free tool for people in Kosovo and other Albanian-speaking regions.
Next, Shkurtë Bajgora presented the mental health initiatives and community projects led by the Center for Global Health.
Arbër Fetahu, a representative of the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF), also addressed the audience as part of the “EJA Kosovo” program, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Sweden.
The platform’s educational content was largely developed by master’s students in Clinical and Community Psychology through an online mental health course. Volunteer chat supporters are mainly bachelor’s-level students.
Diona Visoka gave a practical walkthrough of the shendetimendor.org website, demonstrating its features, including psychoeducational resources, a live chat with trained volunteers for psychological first aid, and an AI Bot assistant.
The event ended with a question-and-answer session and open discussion, showing strong interest and openness to further institutional and professional collaboration.
In the summer of 2025, the Institute of Psychology also partnered with the “Sunny Hill” festival, providing psychoeducational guidance to attendees in need of support.
