About PISU
The Prishtina International Summer University (PISU), organized by the University of Prishtina in cooperation with various donors and partners, has established itself as a platform for academic exchange and collaboration. Since its founding, PISU has connected scholars from around the world with the academic community in Kosovo, fostering innovation in teaching methodologies and supporting the development of scientific research capacities.
Beyond the academic program, PISU serves as a meeting point for professors, researchers, and students to share knowledge, experiences, and perspectives, while at the same time learning more about Kosovo’s society and culture.
The PISU ‘26 will be held from July 6 to July 17, 2026, and will offer courses across a wide variety of fields such as social sciences, law, economics, arts, education, architecture, engineering, medicine, linguistics, history, agriculture, veterinary science and archaeology.

Special preference will be given to international faculty who demonstrate a commitment to developing future institutional collaborations with UP.
If no suitable local counterpart (co-professor) is available for a course, the PISU Committee reserves the right to prioritize alternative courses or applicants, regardless of the quality of the application.
Remuneration and Logistics
- Selected visiting professors will receive an honorarium of 700 EUR (gross) for the duration of the course.
- Travel arrangements will be managed by the PISU staff, who will purchase tickets upon confirmation of selection. Costs unrelated to direct travel to Kosovo (e.g., long stopovers or additional hotel stays) will not be reimbursed.
